Jamaican Breeze Condo is our guest home, we have always felt safe and welcomed in Jamaica. We are comfortable bring our children and friends to the island, walking to the beach, visiting local attractions and shopping. Like any place these days, we don’t recommend that you walk by yourself, wear expensive jewelry or show off your money in public. We want you to feel as comfortable as we do. Your safety and sense of security while in Jamaica is very important to us. To ensure that you are not only safe, but also that you feel safe, we have a full surveillance system, a completely fenced estate, and motion sense security lights around the perimeter of the yard. We also have a staff member who lives in the staff quarters located on the property as well as two dogs that roam the property at night.
The property offers a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. These include linens, basic kitchen equipment, in-unit laundry, private beach access, a private porch, well-maintained grounds and a housekeeper, a television, WiFi, and many more.
During your stay at Jamaican Breeze, it is important to us that your vacation is as relaxing and care-free as possible.
Here are some essential items to pack for your stay in Jamaica:
Lightweight clothing suitable for the tropical climate, including shorts, t-shirts, and sundresses.
Bathing suits and beach towels for dips in the ocean or the pool.
Insect repellent to ward off pesky bugs.
Sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin from sunburn.
Comfortable shoes for walking and exploring.
A camera or smartphone to capture the beautiful sights and memories.
Any necessary medications or prescription drugs.
Travel adapter if the outlets in Jamaica are different from your home country.
Keep in mind that this is just a starting point, and you may want to add additional items based on your specific needs and activities planned. You do not need to bring bedding or towels as these are provided as part of your stay.
We highly recommend hiring a car / van and driver for your stay. We are happy to help relieve the stress of finding your own ground transportation by arranging for a trusted van and driver for you to use on any days you need. We don’t take a commission on this cost and personally used this same company, before we began driving ourselves. This will give you the opportunity to explore this breath-taking Caribbean paradise without the
hassle of negotiating fees and schedules. Your driver can be available on any day or time of your trip, with fees ranging from $50 - $150 per day (depending upon length and distance of your trip).
As you step outside the airport, upon arrival in Jamaica, you will be greeted by your driver. Your party will be comfortably transported using a private air-conditioned van, directly to Jamaican Breeze Condo.
Jamaican Breeze Condo comes fully equipped and staffed. Rental includes full use of the condo, grounds,and beach. We work hard to meet all your needs while you are staying with us. This villa provides linens, towels, beach towels, common toiletries including; toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner as well as many kitchen gadgets such as coffee pot, Keurig coffee machine, blenders, mixers etc. But even better than all our supplies, are our great staff who work to make your vacation a truly relaxing and care free experience. All you need to do is ask and they will work to get you what you need.

Cell phones work in Jamaica, although you should be sure do look into the data plan cost. The Condo does have wifi available on the porch.
Jamaica is well known for its wonderful beaches, but there are many other attractions on this Caribbean island to keep you occupied during your holiday. Lobster is in season year round except from April 1 to June 30 each year when the season is closed.
You should not buy fresh lobster during this time. Established restaurants make the necessary arrangements with the government authorities in order to serve lobster during this time, so it's quite okay to enjoy lobster meals in these places.
Jamaica uses Eastern Standard Time. Jamaica does not observe Daylight Savings Time. Jamaica is five hours behind GMT, although this increases to a six-hour difference during British Summer Time.
The Jamaican dollar is the official currency, though US dollars are widely accepted. Current exchange rates are about $125 Jamaican dollars to $1 US dollar. Major credit and debit cards are also accepted in many restaurants, shops and bars, although it's worth noting that only the local currency is usually accepted in rural areas.
The official language of Jamaica is English. You may hear some Jamaican's speaking Jamaican or Patwa which is a creole dialect shaped by their ride range of cultural heritage.
Passports are required for visitors entering Jamaica. If you are a citizen of the US, visit travel.state.gov for more information on travel documents needed. For Canadian travelers, visit travel.gc.ca for relevant travel information.
As a commonwealth country, British citizens don't need to apply for a visa ahead of travelling to Jamaica and are granted one upon arrival to the island. Likewise, citizens from most EU countries don't need to apply for a visa in advance of travel to Jamaica and are automatically granted one at the port of entry. Your passport needs to be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of entry to the country.
